Re-Elect Judge Bernadette D’Souza

A Strong Voice for New Orleans’ Families

Dear Friends and Supporters,

When I was elected as the first permanent Family Court Judge at Civil District Court in 2012, our campaign was about implementing institutional reform to help children and families who are experiencing distress in divorce, custody, and domestic violence disputes. Over the past couple years, we have seized upon the opportunity to put into practice our shared vision for a first-rate Family Court. But there is still much work to be done, and for that reason I am again asking for your support in my re-election.

We are guided in this campaign by a concern for the people of our city and the welfare of the children in divorce and custody disputes. They all need and deserve a consistent, fair and caring presence on the bench to see them through the difficult situations that bring them to the court. I have pledged before – and I now reaffirm my pledge – to serve with integrity and diligence and with a proper concern for all who appear before me.

Election Day is November 4, 2014. I truly hope that you will again support my campaign and continue the progress we have made in establishing the first permanent Family Court in Orleans Parish.

Sincerely,
Bernadette Signature
